Continuing Education
West Shore Emergency Medical Services has been accredited by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as a Continuing Education Sponsor. In addition to providing programs for our own staff, we provide DOH approved con-ed for the EMS community on both the ALS and BLS levels.
In cooperation with the Education Department at Holy Spirit Hospital, we provide American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) programs. Two-day provider and one-day refresher programs are available. ACLS and CPR Instructor classes are also available.
We also offer International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) Provider and Refresher courses at both the Basic and Advanced levels, as well as ITLS Instructor courses.
West Shore EMS has many experienced field personnel and EMS educators on staff. If your EMS organization is interested in hosting a West Shore EMS sponsored program, please contact the Continuing Education Coordinator at (717) 972-4729. We can address nearly any topic and will be glad to work with you in meeting your educational needs.
Prices for programs are very reasonable, as they are typically calculated to cover only our costs for time and materials.
