Paramedic (EMT-P)
A paramedic must hold a high school diploma or the equivalent,
current Pennsylvania EMTP/PHRN certification, eligibility for medical
command status within the region, initial ITLS certification, current
ACLS, PALS, and EVOC certifications. Paramedics are required to complete
a training course approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Health that
follows in accordance with current national standard curriculum set
forth in the rules and regulations promulgated by the department.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
An emergency medical technician must hold a high school diploma
or the equivalent, current Pennsylvania EMT certification, eligibility
for medical command status within the region, current ITLS and EVOC
certifications. Emergency Medical Technicians are required to complete a
training course approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Health that
follows in accordance with current national standard curriculum set
forth in the rules and regulations promulgated by the department.
Medical Transport Technician (MTT)
A medical transport technician must hold a high school diploma or the
equivalent, EVOC, CPR, and first aid training. A MTT is responsible for
the non-emergency transportation of patients by wheelchair and invalid
coach to and from medical facilities.
Dispatcher
Dispatchers are responsible for setting up routine and
emergency transports, as well as maintaining an answering service for
the Spirit Physician's Group, Incorporated (Broad Street Family Health,
Devonshire Family Health, Dillsburg Family Health, Duncannon Family
Health, Fairview Family Health, Green Hill Family Health, Ryder Barnes
and Condon Pediatrics, and Silver Creek Family Health) and Comfort Care,
all under the Holy Spirit Health System. Public relation and good
communication skills are a definite plus.
Billing Specialist
A billing specialist must hold a high school diploma or the
equivalent must be able to work and communicate with a variety of
people, in the pursuit of guaranteeing the best payment and medical
coverage.
